Making Your Mark Student Clubs

Taking Back Lives' commitment to youth is the heart of our organization. As a primarily youth-led group, our goal is to empower young people to realize that they have a voice and the ability to change the world around them.

As a result, the Making Your Mark program was designed to provide opportunities for students to develop confidence and leadership skills, hoping to instill within them a life-long commitment to making the world a better place.

The program's main objectives are:

• Civic Engagement
  • Through learning about their communities and being active change makers in them, students realize more about themselves and the power they have to help others, while also making a positive difference in the world
• Sponsorship
  • Through fundraising planning and implementation, students cultivate their leadership and organizational skills, while playing a key role in bringing education to children in Malawi, Africa
• Global Education
  • Through global education, students gain an understanding of the impact their efforts have as they develop into young adults who know there is a world beyond their backyards, their communities, and their country
