Camp Out for a Cause
Lakewood Ranch High School Key Club and Taking Back Lives are joining forces once again to raise money and tangible donations for nonprofit organizations in need within Manatee and Sarasota. Area students and families are invited to participate in an overnight camp-out on March 5th-6th at Lakewood Ranch High School. The night’s festivities will include concerts, movies, glow-in-the-dark volleyball, and many other fun activities. Various charities will be collecting items and spreading awareness regarding their causes along with Taking Back Lives.
Walkathon
Thank you to everyone who made the 2009 Taking Back Lives Walkathon a success. In total we raised just under $10,000, bringing us a quarter of the way to constructing the school in Malawi this summer! For a first year event to raise a quarter of an orgnization's funds is unheard of. You should all be very proud of the hours you put into this event. We look forward to seeing many of you out there again next year.
Sarasota Tennis Open
Taking Back Lives is once again honored to be one of the represented charities at this professional men’s tennis tournament in mid-May, 2010. Held at the beautiful Longboat Key Club, come enjoy incredible matches played by some of the best names in tennis today. Sponsorships and tickets are still available.
Tennis Exhibition
A fun-filled event scheduled for February 7th at the Ritz Carlton in Sarasota. Tennis enthusiasts will not want to miss this exhibition match featuring 1998 Australian Open winner Petr Korda.
